What's new?

01/02/2016: New action plans and evaluations of local energy initiatives!

Coopenergy partners have been delivering joint energy initiatives in their regions with their local stakeholders. Ranging from public lighting to community energy schemes, an action plan has been developed for each initiative; and each scheme has been evaluated to share the lessons learnt and successes of a partnership-led approach to energy work. 

Good Practice of the Week: energy awareness raising across Islands in Portugal

In our good practice of the week, find out how the autonomous region of Madeira has effectively delivered actions within its Island Sustainable Energy Action Plan (ISEAP), through the ENNEREG project.  More than 700 people were reached in 20 awareness raising sessions, covering topics including:  sustainable urban refurbishment, electrical mobility, energy efficiency in public buildings, renewable energy and Covenant of Mayors adhesion.

26/01/2016: NEW videos on collaborative energy planning!

Over the past three years, Coopenergy partners have been reviewing new approaches (Multi-Level Governance approaches) to delivering their energy initiatives in partnership and have implemented new multi-level governance approaches in their own regions. To showcase their work, each partner has produced a video of the multi-level governance activities they have been undertaking in their regions.

18/01/2016: COOPENERGY Final Conference audio & presentations, 3rd December 2015 in Paris

On 3rd December 2015 in Paris, the COOPENERGY partnership presented the results, lessons, and shining examples from the seven partner regions, to an audience of nearly 70 people. COOPENERGY, co-funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme, has supported the development of more effective collaborative working between regional and local public authorities to maximise coherence in energy planning and actions between levels of governance.
 

Good Practice of the Week: funding energy refurbishments in Milan, Italy

In our good practice of the week, find out how the province of Milan utilised funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to fund energy saving refurbishments across municipal buildings in the province. Energy savings made are used to reimburse the EIB loan, reduce the energy budget and relaunch the activities of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
